E-Filing your 2007 Tax Return will ensure a Faster Rebate Check!

Taxpayers are urged to E-File their 2007 Tax Return to obtain a faster rebate check. Paper filing may cause a delay to taxpayers receiving their Rebate Checks.

The IRS has stated that the First Rebate Checks will be sent out on May 2 to Taxpayers whose tax returns are processed by April 15th. The IRS has let it be known that paper tax returns are processed in about 2 Weeks whereas E-Filed tax returns are processed in a few days.

Thus, it would seem that if a taxpayer has filed their tax returns by April 10-11th, they would ensure that they receive their rebate checks by May 2nd.
