Mortgage Interest for Joint Owners

My boyfriend and I bought a house together this year. Both of our names are on the mortgage and both are on the deed. We alternate who pays the mortgage month by month. My questions is whether we can claim all of the mortgage interest on one person's taxes or if it needs to be split equally between the two of us.
