Tax Lien Investment Income

I started invsting tax lien in 2010. I use my name and business name( One Member LLC) to do the investment.

Two questions: 1) Where should I report the interst income on 1040? I was told I had to report the income earned through my name on Sche -E and income through LLC on Sche-C "Other income".

2) As I have a full time job, I spent about 40 hours per month on tax lien from April through December. Is my home office expense deductible?

Thanks

Brian
