Vehicle Registration and License Fee
TurboTax ....."If you use the actual expense method instead of the standard mileage method for deducting your vehicle expenses, you may deduct the business portion of your registration and license fees.
Don't include the personal property tax portion of your registration and license fees here. Enter them later on the screen titled Other Vehicle Expenses."
Registration Fee - $56.00
License Fee - $272.00
Weight Fee - $.00
Special Plate Fee - $.00
County/District Fees - $8.00
Owner Responsibility Fee - $.00
No personal property tax portion listed so I'm assuming I can enter the full amount ($336.00) in the box pertaining to my actual vehicle expenses under Registration/License Fees or due I Exclude the $8.00 County/District Fees?
TurboTax says I can deduct the Registration Fee and the License Fee, but on my registration renewal it has in ( ) that the License Fee may be an income tax deduction, but nothing about the Registration Fee?
