Am I required to file an Individual Texas State tax return?

I have been offered an employment with a Texas Oil and Gas Company based in Midland- Odessa area. My question is " am I required to pay Texas Individual Taxes?"

Is Texas one of those states that does not require the filing of an individual tax return?

Thanks for your reply..

You are extremely fortunate that you are moving to Texas. The reason being that Texas is one of those taxes that does not require individual tax returns to be filed. Furthermore, there is no individual Texas State withholding tax, so your W-2 would not have any State (TX) withholding tax.

In short, consider your move to Texas to effectively raise your disposal income by least another 4-5% depending on your total compensation.
