You are extremely fortunate that you are moving to Texas. The reason being that Texas is one of those taxes that does not require individual tax returns to be filed. Furthermore, there is no individual Texas State withholding tax, so your W-2 would not have any State (TX) withholding tax.

In short, consider your move to Texas to effectively raise your disposal income by least another 4-5% depending on your total compensation.
