Foreign Income Tax Exemption - Vacation

I live and work in Lebanon. I generally travel back with my family to the US for vacation every two years. I want to make sure I understand the foreign income tax exemption correctly.

If I take a vacation to the US with my family for 6 weeks does that disqualify me for the foreign income tax exemption?

I have a residency permit and work permit in Lebanon.
I do not work in the US.

Is there any other option for being able to be in the US for more than 35 days without losing the foreign tax exemption? (We'd really like to be there 6 weeks to be able to see my whole family).

Thank you.
