| Which taxpayers qualifies for an online installment agreement with California State?
A taxpayer would be qualified to make an online installment agreement for his or her California Income tax liability if that taxpayer meets the following conditions;
1. The taxpayer owes a balance of $10,000 or less on his or her California Income tax return.
2. The taxpayer agrees to pay their account in 36 months or less.
3. The taxpayer has filed all required personal income tax returns.
If the taxpayers account balance is over $10,000 and less than $25,000 and the taxpayer needs to make an installment agreement, the taxpayers are advised to contact the Franchise Tax Board (FTB) at (800) 689-4776, Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and and discuss their needs with a representative from FTB.
