Living and working remotely in one state but putting different state on w4

I live and work remotely in West Virginia. I am a contractor for a company in California. They want to hire me full time but HR won't allow me to be remote unless I live in California. My manager thought about me just putting her address on my employment information and W4. Will putting an address of another state on a W4 cause any issues for me?
