Live in CA...employer is in CT and my State witholding is in CT.. which state to file

Hi,

I am working on a project in CA but my employer is in Connecticut and my State worked in is also in Connecticut. Do I have to file State taxes with CA. I beleive I have to file State taxes with Connecticut state rather than CA.
But what about I am paying rent in CA where it will be included...

Can someone please help me out?
