How can a taxpayer obtain a copy of a New York State income tax return?

According to the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, a taxpayer may "obtain a copy of a previously filed return, by completing Form TR-152, Request For Copy of Filed Tax Return," and submit it to the address listed on the form.

Taxpayers should allow about 45 to 60 days to receive a copy of their tax return.
