My husband received a letter with a 1099C at the bottom of the letter(nondetachable), I would like to know if thats how they are normally sent. My husband seems to think the company is just trying to get him to call them so they can get him to pay off the debt but I don't want to not file it and it end up being something we really need to file with our taxes. The debt is from a vehicle that my husband cosigned on for our son and ended up sending back because he lost his job and got too far behind.
