Moving to NJ but will still be working in NYC

Next week I am moving to an apartment in Jersey City (NJ) from NYC but I will still be working full time in NYC. I have only been living in the US for a few years (sorry if I appear to be clueless..) Just have a few general questions..

I understand that I have to fill out a NJ-W4. Are there any other forms that I need to complete at this time?

When it comes to filing my taxes for this year:

Will I be classed as an NYC resident for all of 2008 as I will have lived there for the majority of the year? or classed as both?

Will I receive two W-2's at the end of the year?

Do I have to file both NY & NJ taxes at year end?

Any other additional information with regards to this situation would be more than appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Moving to NJ but will still be working in NYC!

1.Will I be classed as an NYC resident for 2008 as I will have lived there for the majority of the year or classed as both?
You will be classified as a part time resident for NJ and NY state, so you will be filing a 2 State tax return. You will have to clearly state the dates you were a NYC resident as well when you became a NJ resident.

2. Will I receive two W-2's at the end of the year?
I don't think so, since you are presumably going to work exclusively in NYC.

3.Do I have to file both NY & NJ taxes at year end?
Yes, as I mentioned in point 1 above.

4. Are there any other forms that I need to complete at this time?
Only the Federal, NY and NJ Tax Returns for tax year 2008.
