Filing as Single or Married?

Hi everyone,

I have a doubt regarding filing my taxes for 2014.
My visa status changed from F1-OPT to H1B on October 1, 2014 . I travelled to India in December 2014 for my marriage. As part of my trip, i also got my Visa stamped . I was on vacation until January 2015 when i returned to the US and informed my employer of my change in marital status. My wife is also on an H1B visa.

My W2 shows my status as single . Therefore the taxes withheld from my paychecks conform to me being single .

Therefore when i file my status for 2014, should i file as Single or Married ?

Any help would be greatly helpful.

Thanks ,
Anand.
