Applying transitional IRA deduction when filling tax in two state

Last year I moved form Utah to Arkansas in June 1 week. I have to file tax in both the states. I have made payments to transitional IRA account for 2013. The total deduction amount is 11000 for me and my wife filling jointly. Can I deduct 11000 from both the state returns or should I split it or should I claim deduction from just one state. I would appreciate quick help.

I guess you need to split it;as there is no reciprocal agreement between Utah and Arkansas, as a part year resident of Utah, you need to pay tax only on Utah based income and deduct expenses that you paid to Utah while you were there and for Arkansas vice versa.
