Senator John McCain tax policy towards the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT).

Senator John McCain is proposing "to permanently revoke the AMT, also known as the Alternative Minimum Tax." According to official IRS records, this tax will be paid by over 25 million middle class families in 2007.

Therefore, according to the Senator, "annulling this oppressive tax will save middle class families about $60 billion in a single year. A middle class family with children set to pay the AMT will save an average of more than $2,700."
