Question 401 k

Taxpayer Age 72, Working Full Time, Taking The Required Rmd, Can The Taxpayer Participate In Employers 401 K Program, Thereby Reducing Taxable Income. The Employers 401 K Program Has No Restrictions Regarding The Above.

No age requirement to participate in a 401k unless is designated by the plan itself; ERs need to accept anyone the right to participate in Employers 401 K Program on the basis of maximum age. As long as individuals are working and receiving income from an ER, they may pay into the 401(k) plan provided by the ER with no cutoff age.
