Which US Presidential Candidate do you think will help the economy the most?

The US Economy is now what most experts have suggested in the midst of a deep recession. Both the US Presidential Candidates have been suggesting a strong economic recovery plan through various Tax Policies and Tax Incentives.

Please indicate whose Tax Policies would be most effective to jump start the US economy and best change the trajectory of the economy to a recovery path.

I think the economic recovery can only be acheived through a tax cut both at the individual level and a cut in corporation tax.

A cut in the tax rate, perhaps a more dramatic cut in the highest marginal tax rate will substantially stimulate savings and investments.

A cut in the corporate tax rate will stimulate the corporate net disposal cash and hence stimulate investment and eventually increase employment.

An increase as advocated by the Obama Tax Policy will accelerate the slow down in the US economy.

Hence, I vote for McCain as President due to his favorable tax incentives at both the corporate and individual level.

I think the economy is in a deep recession and really none of the candidates can fix this problem easily. There both internal and external factors at work, and tax policies alone will not fix the economic recession that quickly.

Nonetheless, it seems that Sen Barrack's tax policy of increasing the tax rate for highly compensated taxpayers and corporation is a techncally flawed policy. This tax policy will worsen the recession and will result in a pro-longed recession.

Sen McCain is proposing increasing the tax cuts to both middle class and corporations that will increase the budget deficit, leading to higher inflation in the long run!

All in all, it seems Sen McCain's tax policy will help US taxpayers in the short run, will has a greater possibility of boosting the economy. Hence, I support Sen McCain's tax policy. reluctantly.

Does Sen. McCain know any Economics? Tax Cuts alone won't help revive the economy..He's smart to promote tax cuts in conjunction with a strong economic stimulus package...worth $300-400 Billioin!

$180 Billion fiscal stimulus package alone will not cut it anymore..By Jan 2009, the conditions could worsen considerably.....Congress must act now!!!

I think Sen Obama has some really good tax ideas, also the tax cuts proposed are really targeted to the middleclass and would not generally benefit the upper-class.

I think a modest tax increase for taxpayers making over 250,000 would not affect the economy to that extent, using the tax revenue to pay for tax cuts for the middleclass is Great Idea!

Granted Sen McCain also has some great ideas, but Sen Obama's tax policies would have a better chance of being passed by the Dem controlled Congress!

I favor a reduction in Self-employment taxes and think that Sen McCain might be the best candidate to cut these taxes.
