Sponsorship taxed as income for local hockey team

I am the captain of my hockey team. I found a bar that gave us $1800 for our hockey team fees. In order to get this money I had to fill out some tax forms.

I have receipts showing the money went to the league as team fees. How do I get show the IRS that this is not taxable income?

Thanks for your help.

Joe
