Does the IRS give a break to unemployed taxpayers who cannot pay their 2011 Tax Liabilities?

Actually, "unemployed taxpayers who cannot pay their 2011 Tax Liabilities", do get a break from the IRS. According to the IRS, these taxpayers will get an extra 6 months to pay their tax liabilities without incurring any potential penalties."

In addition, the relief is also offerred to Self Employed taxpayer whose income in 2011 has decreased by 25% from the prior 2010 tax year.

However, the IRS has precluded including joint taxpayer whose income is greater than $200,000, and Single taxpayers whose income is greater than $100,000.
