Form 1096 correction

I submitted our Form 1096 along with the related copy A for form 1099-Misc. After returning from the post office I noticed one copy A did not get mailed. How do I make the correction for the missing copy A?

I suggest that you resubmit the whole forms again, but mark on the Red Form 1096 the words "Amended" on the top page. Otherwise, the IRS will double up on the Reported Income to your Payees if you resubmit the whole form again with 1099-Misc Forms without indicating "Amended".

It should not be a problem.
