Mary Kay back taxes

I received a letter from the IRS stating that I owe $2000 in back taxes for 2010 for $5000 in self employment income from Mary Kay. I no longer sell it but would it be worth amending my return or just paying the $2000 they say I owe? I also dont have any of the documents saved with my exspenses from that year so I'm not sure if I could even use any of them.
