I am a military spouse and my residency for 2010 was NY but I lived and worked in VA solely because my husband was stationed there. I am confused on how to file my state taxes, because of the military reflief tax act. Can anyone help me?

As a spouse of military service member, you do not automatically become Virginia resident for purposes of income and personal property taxation in cases where you are present in Virginia solely to be with a spouse who is a member of the military serving in Virginia in compliance with military orders. This means that you, as an affected individual, may be eligible for refunds of income tax withheld by your employers( if applicable).
