Does e-Filing cost extra money to file?

My CPA is charging me an extra $30 for e-Filing a tax return! Why does it have to cost more money? He's arguing that it is a cost that he is passing on to me..

Does this seem reasonable?

Thanks..

Does e-Filing cost extra money to file?

Yes, e-Filing does cost extra money. Some of the e-Filing fees are as follows in my area (clearly the fees will vary across the country);

1 For Individuals Tax returns
Fed State: Approximately $10-$15
Each State: Same as Above for Each State

2. For Corporations, LLC's Tax Returns
Fed State: Approximately $15-25
Each State: Same as Above for Each State

Your CPA passing the fees onto you is reasonable and the cost will be passed onto you!
