Should we wait to get married?

My fiance and I want to get married before the end of the year. We are wondering if we will still qualify for the EITC. If I stay single, I will earn the EITC as I only earned $9000 this year, $6,000 of that is from unemployment. I also attended school this year for about 4 months. We have a child that I will claim. He will make about $40,000 as of the end of the year. Would it be better for us to marry, and he can claim both HOH, and myself and our daughter as dependents, or should we just wait and remain single to obtain the max tax refund?

Thanks!
