How long to wait to avoid higher capital gains tax?
After my Mother passed away, stocks were TOD to me.
Do I have to keep it exactally one year to avoid higher capital gains tax?

I think you actually have stepped up basis, so there would be no capital gains tax , am I right, TaxGuru?
So, there is no waiting requirement to avoid long term capital gains.
