Schedule D Line 14

I have a carryover loss of $901.48 from 2008. Do I need to fill out line 8 on Schedule D with the stocks that were sold in 2007? My calculations worked fine for 2007 and 2008 because I carried over $3000.00 for those 2 years. For 2009 it won't subtract correctly. Can I just enter $901.48 on line 14, 15, 16 and 21 and leave line 8 blank?

Thanks

Wayne
