service animals

I understand that service animals are tax deductible under medical expenses; however, would they fall under "medical aids" or "other medical"?
Thank you for all your help!

I guess the friend canine would be better a operating canine. A working dog requires a lot of attention as well as workouts, issues an aspie might just forget or become bored along with.

A friend canine is satisfied with just lying on your lap. We specifically selected the you are able to because they can do with out going out a lot and are very intelligent. Also very attached to the point of keeping people from a person. I'd one exactly where my new gf had to make use of a lengthy stay with maintain the woman's at a distance to get involved with mattress with me with out obtaining snapped from.

If you are considering training your own dog as a service dog, bear in mind that some states will not certify privately-trained/owned dogs as service dogs. That is, they certify only those dogs that have been trained by "recognized" or "approved" organizations.

I volunteered with another breed's rescue group and we adopted out a dog to someone who wanted to train the dog as a service dog. Unfortunately, the adopter had to return the dog within a week because we had neglected to check state regulations. A privately trained dog would not be certified/registered as a service dog. (Even if the dog had been trained by someone who trained dogs for an approved agency. Yeesh, how narrow-minded!)

I did some online searches but could not find anything about this potential roadblock in your state. Please check out what your state requires before investing your private funds. This will avoid your dog being refused the type of public access you require (and as mandated under the Americans with Disabilities Act) because your dog cannot be certified/registered as a service dog.
