Section 179 Asset Sale

In 2009 I sold my business. I had claimed section 179 on all of the assets that were used in the business. I know that I know have to reclaim some of the deductions however I'm wondering if it matters that I sold all of the equipment at a loss. The original cost of all of our gear was probably almost 100k however I ended up selling the business for about 36k. It currently looks like I'm going to have to pay 15 - 16k in taxes however I'm not sure that I'm doing things properly.
