PAID vendor December 2017. They cashed it over weekend.

I paid a vendor with a check 12/15/17 but they didn?t deposit the check until January 26. I?m getting their 1099 efiled and now confused.

1) Which tax year does my payment go towards?

2) Whixh tax year does their payment go towards?
