Child Tax Credit Error

I accidentally included my child twice when trying to complete the child tax credit. The taxes have been submitted and I'm not sure what I should do. Will the IRS just adjust the return or should I file an amended return to attempt to clear up this error.

basically, then you need to amend your 2016 return if you need to make changes or corrections to the 2016 return that was already e-filed and accepted or mailed
