Question State tax filing in 2 states.

I am on an F1 visa. I graduated from a TX school in May 16 and started working in an IL company in Sept 16. I did relocate. I have 2 W2 forms, one from my School and one from my IL company.

There is an issue with the company W2. Before I relocated to IL, I was on a vacation in NC and gave the company an NC address for correspondence. In Sept, my IL address did not get updated at Payroll and my first paycheck shows state taxable in IL and NC. Tax was withheld for IL and none for NC. Now in my W2, there is a form for NC showing the same first paycheck income and 0 taxes payed. Will I have to file returns in NC as well? If yes, will I owe them ?
