Amendment tax

I have a 21 year old daughter. She is student working part time. Income is $2,500.00. She filed tax return as independent.

Now I am married. How would I file and claim her as dependent? I have not filed my return yet.

Does she have to file 1040x? And how to change her status to be dependent? I read and saw the section about claiming dependent, but do not know how to fill it out.

I need help from tax gurus. Please help.

I have a 21 year old daughter. She is student working part time. Income is $2,500.00. She filed tax return as independent.=> even if she is a dependent of someone, she needs to file her return since she needs to claim her refund on her W2 income or if she received an advance payment on the Premium Tax Credit or if she bought health insurance from the Marketplace, she needs to file a return in order to claim the refundable Premium Tax Credit. However, in general, a dependent does n?t need to file a return unless her gross income is More than $6,300 earned (or more than $1,050 unearned*)

Now I am married. How would I file and claim her as dependent? I have not filed my return yet.=====> aslongas your child may have a job, but that job cannot provide more than half of her support. Your child must live with you for more than half the year, but several exceptions apply, then you can claim her on your 1040 line 6c on your joint return

Does she have to file 1040x? And how to change her status to be dependent? I read and saw the section about claiming dependent, but do not know how to fill it out.=====>>no she doesn?t need to file 1040X; as mentioned above you can claim her on yoru 1040 line 6c
