Alabama Offers a New Deduction for Education Savings Programs for 2008

According to the Alabama Department of Revenue, "Alabama taxpayers may deduct up to $5,000 per year or $10,000 if joint filers, for contributions made after Dec. 31, 2007, to the Alabama Prepaid Affordable College Tuition Program (PACT) or the Alabama College Education Savings Program."
