What is Cost Segregation?

Cost Segregation is the process of "properly classifying construction or acquisition costs between real and personal property in relationship to a construction a of a new building, expanding an existing one, purchasing real estate, rehabilitating an old facility or relocating with leasehold improvements."

The primary purpose being that taxpayers may realise substantial tax and cash flow savings in the whenever a cost segregation is performed effectively!
