2 families share house

My family is living with my Mom while we build a house. Her tax preparer told her next year she would have to claim my income on her taxes and pay fines due to insufficient Obamacare coverage or premium. But we are not dependents of hers and she is not claiming us a dependents. My tax preparer told me she would not have to claim or income. So I'm just trying to figure out who is right? And if she does have to claim my income, why?? We are paying our own expenses.

her household for obama careIncludes her spouse if she is legally married.If your mom plans to claim someone as a tax dependent for 2016, she needs to do include them on her application.
If your mom won?t claim tyou as tax dependents, she doesn?t need to include you .basically,.she needs to include her spouse and tax dependents even if they don?t need health coverage.soyou?re counted as dependents on her tax return, your household income for subsidy purposes will not include her income.

To claim you guys as her dependents for health insurance purposes, your mother already must list you as a dependents with the IRS. To meet the IRS' criteria, each of you must have earned less than $4K for 2015, and your mother must have provided at least half of your financial support for food, lodging, transportation and other basic necessities.

My tax preparer told me she would not have to claim or income. So I'm just trying to figure out who is right? And if she does have to claim my income, why?? We are paying our own expenses Medicare coverage will not be affected by this part of Obamacare. In fact, it?s prohibited for someone to sell you a Marketplace health

.============>>>>>>>>Basically, If your mother is currently enrolled in Medicare, she does not need to enroll in another health plan with the Health Insurance Marketplace, and herMedicare coverage will not be affected by Obamacare. In fact, it?s prohibited for someone to sell her a Marketplace health plan if they know she has Medicare. If your mom decides to make changes to her Medicare coverage, she will do so during the Medicare Annual Election Period (from Oct 15 to Dec 7), not through the Marketplace.
If your mom has Original Medicare ,i.e., Part A and Part B, Medicare Part A only, or a Medicare Advantage plan, then she meets the Affordable Care Act requirement to have health insurance. However, if she is only enrolled in Medicare Part B, this does not satisfy Obamacare?s minimum essential coverage requirement. Then she may need to purchase a Medigap policy to supplement her coverage, or she may face a tax penalty;
