Information about what the IRS does when they are looking for someone

My grandsons paternal grandmother hasnt filed taxes since 2009 or 2010 because she received over 9,000 refund that year but did something fraudulent because the IRS says she has to repay that amount. In 2014 she cashed her retirement out early and received 61,000 dollars and did not file a return, pay any taxes or penalty amounts for the money she received and now the IRS is looking for her. She currently stays with me because she lost her home. Will I bebin trouble if I don't tell the IRS where she is? Do I have to worry about her being arrested when they find out wherebshe resides?

Will I bebin trouble if I don't tell the IRS where she is?=>I guess very ethical issue;in common sense, You need to review your specificsituation with your attorney with irs related criminal experiences before taking any action.however if you filed MFJ with irs then you are responsible for the return and fradulauent situation. the IRS may very well want to hold you responsible for the unreported income, taxes, and penalties.

Do I have to worry about her being arrested when they find out wherebshe resides?=> Tax fraud is a federal crime with serious consequences and a crime that rarely stays hidden. You need to then you should talk not only to a tax attorney, but one who is knowledgeable with criminal Tax Defense for your right/protection
