Lightbulb Tax deduction on travel from overseas to buy retirement home in USA

I flew back to the US in January 2008 to look into buying a retirement home after 20+ years working overseas. Having spent about 30 days looking for a home, we purchased one and closed in late July. The second trip was covered by my employment agency.

What expenses (plane tickets, car rental, gas, lodging, etc) can I deduct and where in schedule A of form 1040 can I enter it?
