Can you set up a deferred tax asset for unrealized investment gains? Please help.

Establishing a deferred tax asset for unrealized investment gains would perhaps be reserved primarily for audited financial statement that need GAAP compliance! For an individual Income tax purposes there is no provision available in the tax code for this provision!
