Does Maine State recognize an automatic federal extension?

The State of Maine allows an automatic seven-month extension of time in which to file a corporate income tax return and so there is no need to recognize an automatic 6 month federal month extension.

As with all the States, "an extension to file your Maine return is not an extension to pay your tax. Also, the automatic extension is only effective if the return is filed within the seven-month extension period."
