Will Hawaii accept the Federal Form 4868, Automatic Extension of time to File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return?

The State of Hawaii Department of Taxation has specifically stated that they will "not accept Federal Form 4868, Automatic Extension of time to File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return in lieu of an Hawaii Extension. The Hawaii extension forms must be used."
