Bicycle commuters get a tax free fringe for 2009!

This law was recently passed as part of the $700 Billion bailout package. Specifically, IRS will now allow "Bicycle commuters to get a tax free fringe benefit for 2009."

Employers will be able to provide bicyclist up to $20 a month for the costs of pedaling to work, this amount will represent the bike’s cost, repair, and storage."

Congress encouraging more people to start to bicycle to work!
