Report PerDiem in Tax return?

Hi,

My employer is in New Jersey. I am deployed in Mountain View at client location from March 2014 all year on my H1B visa.. My initial work location was New Jersey.. Apart from salary I get $200/day as per diem which is not reported in my W-2.

Should I report that in my 1040 tax return ? Is it taxable ?
Also, where do I report it in the tax return?

Thanks,
Sandy

Should I report that in my 1040 tax return ? ===>>>>>>>>>>>UNLESS it is reported on your W2, no. If it is reported on your W2 then,, you can deduct your expenses using form 2106 and transfer the deduction to Sch A Miscellaneous Expenses , I guess, it is subject to 2% of AGI.

Is it taxable ? =====>>>>>>>>>>.No it is not taxable as it is not reported on your W2 so you CAN NOT claim it on your return either.perhaps, you are required to submit receipts and pay back excess per diem payments, then you have an accountable plan.
Also, where do I report it in the tax return?=====>>>>>>>>No need to report it on your return.
