hi, was wondering if i file head of household, what form should i use to claim my mother i take care of and my fiance? They both draw social security and my fiance worked part time and made $2900.00.

you may file your return as a HOH for your mother NOT for your fiancé;aslongas you can prove you provided more than half of mom's total support, you can claim her as a "qualifying relative" If you also pay more than half of the cost of keeping up your home, you can file HOH. You must be able to claim mom to be eligible for HOH.she does n’t need to live with you for more than half year. Head of Household is not an option in your case even if you end up not marrying your fiance and claim her as dependent.
