Do I need to file taxes?

The past year I've made about $1,100 using a website called Quickrewards. I have no job, no unemployment benefits, no SSI, no welfare, or anything like that. It's the only income I've made the past year. Do I have to file taxes for it?

I have read if my total income is less than $10,150, then I don't need to file. But I've heard if I made over $600 there I need to file a 1099 form. So, do I or do I not need to file this year?

It's the only income I've made the past year. Do I have to file taxes for it?=====>>>>>>>>>>>>>>it depends; The self-employed pay taxes a little differently than employees do.as you are self-employed, then you are required to pay these taxes on your own;aslongas the amount on line 29/31 on Sch C of 1040 is $400 or exceeds $400 , then you must file your return and also the amount on line 2/3 on Sch SE is also $400 or exceeds $400 then you must pay self employment tax;also, as you are filing as a sole proprietor, and/or a self-employed individual, you generally have to make estimated tax payments if you expect to owe tax of $1K or more when you file your return.however, You do not have to pay estimated tax for the current year if you had no tax liability for the prior year;you were a U.S. citizen or resident for the whole year;your prior tax year covered a 12 month period

I have read if my total income is less than $10,150, then I don't need to file. ===========>>as mentioned above .aslongas the amount on line 29/31 on Sch C of 1040 or line 3 of Sch C-EZ of 1040, is $400 or exceeds $400 , then you must file

But I've heard if I made over $600 there I need to file a 1099 form. So, do I or do I not need to file this year?===>>>no you do not file a 1099 misc your employer that hires you sends you a 1099misc by jan 31 2015 then you need the 1099 to file your return.
