self employed no 1099

I work privately for a company that still hasn't given me a 1099 for 2013 let alone 2014! I contacted the accountant to get the amount I made for 2013 and claimed it without a form. I was told they are behind with filing for all their employees-can't they get fined? Should I go ahead and contact the accountant again and claim my amount made to cover myself? I've only worked here for 2 years and it seems other employees arnt claiming at all since they haven't got a 1099 but I would never do that. Advice?
