Do I need to file?

I've been on SS disability for many years now and I need to know if I have to file taxes. I am married with 2 young children. My wife cares for me and the children and she does not work. Years ago I was told that I do not have to file but I'm curious as what I need to do now. I only receive 30,660 for myself and my children a year.

It depends on your MAGI also called provisional income(50% of your SSDI plus tax exempt income plus foreing tax credit(if you have)); the base amounts are $32K for married couples filing jointly; as yo only receive $30,660 then your MAGI is lower than $32K, you do not need to pay tax on your SSDI.
so unless you are subjecrt to tax refund from IRS/ State, you do not need to file your 2013 return

My next issue is for my wife. She wants to get on the Affordable healthcare but without filing taxes, she won't get the tax credit. I can't afford to pay to get my taxes done and can't afford to pay for her so called affordable health care act. We are eligible for the tax credit only if we do our taxes. Where can I file my taxes without paying for it to be done? I tried a couple of them online and it said I owe nothing but at the end, they both wanted be to pay for filing.
