Do I need to file?

I've been on SS disability for many years now and I need to know if I have to file taxes. I am married with 2 young children. My wife cares for me and the children and she does not work. Years ago I was told that I do not have to file but I'm curious as what I need to do now. I only receive 30,660 for myself and my children a year.
