What are the Personal Exemption Rates for Utah State for the Tax Year 2008?

Utah State does not provide for Individual Tax Exemptions to any of its individual Taxpayers irrespective of their filing status.

Instead, Utah State offers its individual Taxpayers “tax credits that are equal to 6% of federal standard or itemized deductions (without state taxes paid) and 75% of Federal personal exemption amounts.

The credit amount is phased out above $12,000 in income for Single Filers and $24,000 in income for joint returns.
