1099-misc As Nominee

I Received A 1099-misc For Rents From A Housing Authority By Mistake. The Rental Properties Were Actually Own And Operated By My Sister And Should Not Have Been Paid In My Name. I Issued My Sister A 1099-misc For The Amount. However, How Should I Report This Nominee Income.

“ I Issued My Sister A 1099-misc For The Amount. However, How Should I Report This Nominee Income.”--->I guess You need to do a nominee 1099-Misc to the person you paid, your sister you issue a 1099-Nominee to your sister so she reports it; that will show that you paid your sister. You can then report the 1099-Misc on your schedule C line 1 and then subtract the 2nd 1099-Misc as expense(you also report it on your return but turn right around and take it off, labeling it nominee income), bringing the net effect to zero.
